Condition:  This edition has been well loved over the years.  The cover and spine show a lot of wear especially around the edges.  The covers are a bit warped & no longer lay completely flat.  The inside is clean - no torn or missing pages noted.  There is a name written in pencil on the title page and there is one tiny bit of scribble on one page bottom in ink.  This edition is tightly bound. 

The illustrations are amazing in this edition & include both black and white and full color illustrations.  And a fun fact - this story was featured in a 1957 Edition of Best in Children's Books by Nelson Doubleday, Inc. & the dust jacket features one of the same illustrations from this book - Lincoln as an adult on a horse.
